With Thanksgiving Day just a few days away, there are two things on my mind...."When am I going to make those side dishes that include heavy whipping cream, bread and mayo?" Followed by "How many days this week am I going to Barre3?" Answers are Wednesday and every day!
What I'm not thinking about it is what I'm going to wear. The hubs and I are lucky that the dress code for our "Friendsgiving" is sweatpants. This is one of the few days of the year that I don't mind wearing yoga pants as real pants. Let's be real. Stretch waistbands, or no waistbands are our BFFs on this day of over indulgence. This is not the day to wear your skinny jeans or that high-waisted pencil skirt.
Your Thanksgiving may not be as casual as mine and that's just fine. There are plenty of comfortable dress options that will leave your waistline free. Check out my recent post for 12th & Broad where I give you five options for dressing comfortably and completely on trend.
I'm smitten with Topshop again this season and here I give you some of my favorite pieces that would be perfect for a casual Thanksgiving Day. Ditch the heels and opt for a pair of shimmery brogues or add some rocker edge with a pair of buckled chelsea boots.
Whatever you decide to wear just remember these three things: Be Comfortable. Have Fun. Eat the Pie. Happy Thanksgiving!
