Now that my fingers have recovered from 4 1/2 hours of live tweeting The Grammy Awards last night, I can finish my post with my favorite looks (and a few misses) from the night. The Grammys are typically my favorite red carpet, because there are always a few fashion risk takers. This year, some of my favorite red carpet "offenders" (I'm looking at you Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj and Lady Gaga) went glam and it worked beautifully. Thankfully Madonna was there to pick up the wackadoo slack in her Givenchy matador outfit. But that's what the Grammy's are for. If you want to dress like a matador or a bellhop, where else would you do it? My best dressed of the night hands down was Gwen Stefani. That Atelier Versace jumpsuit was incredible and both her hair and makeup were flawless. She looked equally stunning in the red gown she wore for her duet with Adam Levine.

The Haim sisters rarely disappoint. I love their style.
Haim in Celine and Stella McCartney
I love sequin-covered, purple-haired Katy Perry.
Katy Perry in Zuhair Muhad
While I do love a ridiculous Nicki Minaj outfit, I was happy to see her hit the red carpet in a grown up dress instead of something a muppet would wear.
Nicki Minaj in Tom Ford
The same goes for Lady Gaga. Don't get me wrong though. I loved the year she birthed herself out of an egg, but it's nice to see these ladies do their own version of glam.
Lady Gaga in Brandon Maxwell
And then there is Queen B. That hair and makeup were on point.
Beyonce in Proenza Schouler
When I saw this dress in the Giambattista Valli Couture Spring 2105 collection I had a feeling someone would wear it on a red carpet. I didn't however think it would be Rihanna at the Grammy's. I don't know if this was the right choice for the Grammy's, but I do love the drama of this big pink dress.

Iggy, I love this dress on you. What is with the Swiss Miss situation on your head?
Izzy Azalea in Giorgio Armani
I could've listened to Annie Lennox sing all night. While this is a pretty basic black dress, I thought she looked so chic.
If Jane Fonda wants to wear a green Balmain jumpsuit then by all means she should. I hope I'm still rocking jumpsuits this hard when I'm 77.

I loved the cut and color of this Elie Saab dress on T. Swift. Her hair and makeup were on point too.

And then there's Matador Madge. There is no denying her body is still rockin' at 56, so I guess if she wants to be a matador... olé

If there's such a thing as 'matador chic,' Guilana Rancic had a better version happening with her beaded Inbal Dror jumpsuit.

Now I know what my Halloween costume is going to be this year. Thanks Sia.

We made it to the Academy Awards. Blacks, pastels and metallics ruled Oscar's red carpet, but I had to give props to Jennifer Lawrence and Sandra Bullock for their bold color choices. Kate Hudson's Versace and Lupita N'yongo's Prada were my two favorites of the night. Here are the other dresses that rounded out my top ten.

When Jennifer Garner walked across the stage in this Oscar de la Renta, I had to include her here. I loved the way this dress moved.

On the heels of the Golden Globes comes the SAG Awards. It's a red carpet redemption event of sorts. Those celebs who might have 'missed' on their Golden Globes gown have a chance to redeem themselves one week later. While there were a lot of 'safe' dresses last night, there were some definite stand outs. It was another stellar evening for Lupita Nyong'o and Kerry Washington. That color on Lupita was perfection. And that crop top on a pregnant Kerry Washington? Absolutely gorgeous. I can't wait to see what those two wear to the Oscars. Here are the other celebs who topped my best dressed list.
