The fun starts this Friday as the Belcourt Theatre's nD Festival kicks off with its Patrons Party. Now in its third year, the nD Festival is a celebration of independent film, fashion and music supporting the Belcourt. This year is shaping up to be the best one yet and I'm not just saying that because I'm one of the stylists for Sunday's Fashion Show. All of the events this weekend are going to be a blast and we've got all the details for you. Friday, September 28
Patrons Party - 7-9:30pm - Peter Nappi Studio
Kick off nD Fest weekend with cocktails, light bites and the music of Allison Moorer at the gorgeous Peter Nappi Studio. This event is exclusive to Patrons Pass holders and sponsors.
The Belcourt Biscuit Boogie - 10pm-1am - The Belcourt Theatre
Get your groove on at The Belcourt! For the first time ever the Belcourt is hosting a dance party on it's stage! Enjoy biscuits from biscuit chef extraordinaire, Maryann Byrd, author of The Rise of the Southern Biscuit and dance to tunes spun by your DJs for the night, William Tyler (The Stone Fox) and Ben Swank (Third Man Records). This event is $25 for non-Belcourt members, $20 for member or Free with your Patrons Pass.
Saturday, September 29
Mimosas, Marys and a Movie - 11am - The Belcourt Theatre
This is my favorite nD event! Brunch provided by Puckett's, coffee from Roast Inc, mimosas, bloody marys and the Nashville premiere of VERSAILLES '73: AMERICAN RUNWAY REVOLUTION...oh, and a pre-screening SKYPE intro with filmmaker Deborah Riley Draper. This event is going to be seriously fabulous. In case you are not familiar with the film, Versailles '73 is a documentary about an extraordinary evening that left an unforgettable imprint on the fashion industry and forever changed fashion history... French haute couture against innovative American ready-to-wear, set on the stage where Louis XVI married Marie Antoinette. Did I mention this event was going to be fabulous?! Tickets are $25 for non-members, $20 for members and Free with your Patrons Pass.
Found Footage Party - 7-9pm - Third Man Records
The Belcourt is setting up shop at Third Man Records, complete with a screen and popcorn, to show some of the best (i.e. hilarious) footage found on the InterWebs. Tickets are $40 for non-Belcourt members, $35 for members and Free with your Patrons Pass.
Sunday, September 30
nD Festival Fashion Show and Auction - 6-9pm - The Belcourt Theatre
It's the big show! The last night of nD is always about the fashion. This year they're doing things a little differently, using stylists to curate the looks that will hit the runway. I am honored to be in the company of some of Nashville's best stylists - Sierra Jacobson from The Lookbook, Aria Cavaliere from Parlour Vintage, Hannah Jones from Jamie and the Jones and the always fabulous Milton White. Sierra and I are excited to be able to bring our weekly How To Wear It series to life with our collection. This year's runway show will be backed up with music from Third Man Records.
Before and after the fashion show, you'll want to check out the amazing silent auction. There will literally be hundreds of indie items to bid on. It's super impressive and that auction team works incredibly hard putting that part of the event together. Tickets are $100 for non-Belcourt members, $75 for Belcourt members and Free with your Patrons Pass.
Ready to get your tickets? The best ticket deal for the weekend is definitely the Patrons Pass. It's $225 and includes food, drink and admittance to all of the parties on the schedule. It also gives you a Cast & Crew membership to the Belcourt for one year. If you're already a member, cost is $175. All tickets and Patrons Passes can be purchased online at belcourt.org as well as at each event. Funds raised from the nD Festival directly support the Belcourt's education and engagement programs.
See you at the Belcourt!
