Happy New Year! I hope you had an incredible holiday and woke up this morning fully recharged and ready to start not only the first work week of 2016, but also your new fitness regimen. After nearly two glorious weeks off that included me drinking copious amounts of wine and shoving my mom's cookies in my mouth at a rate that probably broke some cookie eating record, it was time to get back to my pre-holiday work out schedule. Since I did a few workouts over the holiday, I didn't think going to my usual Monday evening Barre3 class would be that hard. Wrong. I nearly walked out of class tonight because it was too crowded, I was late and I had what felt like 27 layers of clothes on since it's finally winter in Nashville. But I forged on. I got through class and now feel 100% better about the two cookies I ate right before I sat down to write this post. I can't just quit the sugar cold turkey right? The one thing getting me through my winter workout slump is the new athleticwear I got for Christmas. When did workout gear get so cool? There are so many designers in the fitness game. Stella McCartney for Adidas. Derek Lam for Athleta. Mara Hoffman. Rebecca Minkoff. And then there is Kate Hudson's Fabletics which is like a Birchbox for workout gear. The pieces are great and super affordable which is a relief after looking at $100 yoga pants. I am obsessed with Carbon38, and Lululemon and Athleta have always been favorites, but I shop their sales pretty consistently to find the best deals. Athleta and Lululemon are both having awesome sales right now. And let's not forget about Target! They have a great athleticwear department too.
Here are a few of my favorite pieces. Hover over the image and click the "+" sign to link through to product pages for more information.
